A Year on the Farm PODCAST

Kimberley is hosting a podcast about small-scale farming with expert interviews and reflections on the joys and challenges of small farm life.

Kimberley Allan shares her experience as a new farmer and hosts interviews with experts in the field and newcomers to farming. With weekly episodes, Kimberley will be inviting women, Indigenous people, people of colour, LGBTQ2S+ folk to share their knowledge and expertise. With a focus on decolonizing and reconciling, Kimberley is dedicated to elevating the voices of those often under-represented and who face challenges in the agriculture industry.

Kimberley grew up in Vancouver and launched her gourmet food business in 2010. She then moved to Vancouver Island a few years ago, with the goal of evolving her food business and farming. Now on a small farm, Kimberley and her family run their small family farm, are vendors at the farmers' market, and operate their seasonal farm store.
